Introducing City of Toronto’s Equity Based Units

A workshop for Toronto LIP member agencies and other settlement service providers

The Toronto Newcomer Office invites you to a panel workshop: Introducing City of Toronto’s Equity Based Units, part of a learning series for the LIP network. This workshop aims to introduce the City’s newest equity based units and programs to LIP member agencies:

  • Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit     
  • Poverty Reduction Strategy Office
  • Indigenous Affairs Office                                    
  • Seniors Transition Office
  • Human Trafficking                                                
  • Tenants First Management Office

Date & time: Friday, November 30, 2018, 1:00 – 4:30 pm

Location: Toronto City Hall, Committee Room #2, 100 Queen St. West

The 3.5 hours event will include a welcome address, a plenary featuring presentations from each of the units about their work and opportunities for collaboration.

Anticipated learning outcomes for participants are:

  • Learn about the mandate and work of these offices.
  • Identify intersections between your own work and that of the equity based units.
  • Identify opportunities for networking and collaboration.
