Trauma& Violence-Informed Care in Settlement Services Flyer

The Toronto East Quadrant Local Immigration Partnership (TEQ LIP) is excited to share  our Trauma-Informed Care for Service Providers in Settlement Workshop Series.

Facilitator: Dr. Tanaz Javan, Ph.D

Building on the foundational knowledge from the first workshop, this session focuses on the practical application of trauma and violence-informed care principles. Participants are encouraged to bring real-life case studies and questions for discussion, allowing for a hands-on approach to navigating complex scenarios in supporting survivors of domestic violence. In addition, the workshop will explore advanced strategies for fostering resilience and self-compassion, in service providers. Through guided meditation, participants will learn tools to build emotional resilience, reduce stress, and cultivate a sense of well-being, essential for maintaining a compassionate and balanced approach to their work.
